SYNKRO RACE is coming to Barcelona: a new hybrid pairs race at Extreme Barcelona
Barcelona will host this year the first edition of SYNKRO RACE, a multidisciplinary endurance competition to be held on the main esplanade of Parc del Fòrum, as part of Extreme Barcelona. The event is built around an intense, dynamic format where teamwork takes priority over individual performance.
A format designed to flow
SYNKRO RACE is designed to be intense, smooth, and easy to follow, for both participants and spectators. The race combines running segments with strength and cardio stations, alternating synchronized exercises and work split between the two teammates.
The core principle is clear: the pair must stay together at all times.
Categories for every profile
The competition is open to all types of athletes thanks to the two divisions it offers:
- OPEN division – For amateur athletes and fitness enthusiasts
- PRO division – For experienced athletes and regular competitors
Each division has three categories: men’s (two men), women’s (two women), and mixed (one man and one woman), all with the same movements but with loads and volumes adapted to the level.
A 5,000 m² venue at Parc del Fòrum
The competition area will be laid out as a 100 x 50 m rectangle, made up of:
- A 300 m running loop around the functional zone
- A central area divided into four parallel sections
- Start/finish arch with timing
- Wave starts of 8 pairs every 7–10 minutes
Competition pricing
SYNKRO RACE will use a tiered pricing system:
- First 100 pairs: €100
- Next 100 pairs: €120
- Remaining registrations: €140
A new addition to the Extreme Barcelona universe
With SYNKRO RACE, Extreme Barcelona adds a new discipline that expands its sports program and opens the door to a new pairs competition format within the festival.
The arrival of this race strengthens the event as a space where different ways of understanding performance, cooperation, and physical activity come together in a venue open to the public.
